Deb Starks
WCA President ElectDeb, MS, LPC, NCC, is a recent transplant, (2012) from Casper to Riverton, Wyoming where she works in Student Services at Central Wyoming College as a Counselor and Disability Services Coordinator. In Casper she worked at Central Wyoming Counseling Center with the school-based counseling program and then with outpatient substance abuse. Her background includes an interest in social justice issues and extensive administration and program development with Casper agencies including CASA, Seton House and the UW/CC Trio program. With her move, Deb now enjoys being closer to her family and the Wind River and Teton Mountain Ranges for hiking and photography.
Nate Smith
WCA Secretary ElectNate, MS, PPC, NCC, currently serves as a Clinical Therapist for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program at Central Wyoming Counseling. He also instructs courses in LGBTQ Studies at the University of Wyoming as an Academic Professional Lecturer. His interests include Social Justice Issues in Counseling, LGBTQ Counseling Issues, and Queer Identity Development. He recently relocated to Casper, Wyoming from Boulder, Colorado where he worked in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Nate enjoys spending time studying jazz piano, Brazilian culture, traveling the world with his husband Diego, and chasing his two cats Hugo and Pearl.
