New Book: Young Adult’s Guide to Stop Bullying

From Atlantic Publishing Group, Inc.

We have just published a new book, The Young Adult’s Guide to Stop Bullying: Understanding Bullies and Their Actions, that pinpoints the problem and offers up case studies and plans for action, all written in a student-friendly way. Even just bringing up the topic in front of teens is enough to place it on the forefront of their minds.

Making an impact is important to us, so we’d like to offer you a substantial discount on a large bundle of this book, with discounts starting at 10 percent. If you purchase 10 copies, we’ll even include a free anti-bullying poster.

We have two visions: the first is that you would partner with a school that you closely work with to distribute these books to the students in one of two ways: 1) as reading material that would be dissected in the classroom the first week of school with a corresponding school assembly on the topic (which the book explains); or 2) as reading material that would be looked at in great detail during National Bullying Awareness month, which is during October.

Our second vision is that you would recommend this book or offer it to clients you work with that continually struggle with bullying. There is so much useful information in this book for those who are bullied, those that are bystanders, and bullies themselves.

There is a lot of information in the book that can be used by leaders (specifically Part 2, Chapter 7), but the book is written for young adults, making it accessible for all age ranges. If you’d like to see a sample of the book or are interested in a review copy, we would be more than happy to accommodate such a request.

This topic hits close to home for me personally, as I was bullied pretty badly in middle school and had to switch schools in the middle of the year. I would’ve given anything for my school to pay such close attention to bullying through a week of reading, a school assembly, or a dedicated week to honor National Bullying Awareness month. I also would have loved for my counselor to provide me with a resource that has such practical advice in it.
